Privacy Policy

Effective 25 April 2026 · Last updated 25 April 2026

The short version

Family Board doesn't track you, doesn't show ads, and doesn't sell or share your data. The boards and items you create are visible only to people you invite. You can ask me to delete your account and data at any time by emailing daniel.klevebring@gmail.com.

Who's responsible

Family Board is operated by Daniel Klevebring as a personal project. I'm the data controller for the purposes of GDPR. You can reach me at daniel.klevebring@gmail.com.

What data the app collects

When you sign in with Apple and use Family Board, the app stores:

The app does not collect your email, phone number, contacts, location, photos, or any analytics or tracking data.

Where data is stored

All data is stored in a Supabase Postgres database hosted in the EU. Supabase processes the data on my behalf as a sub-processor. They don't use your data for any purpose except providing the database service.

Sign-in is handled by Apple's Sign in with Apple service. Apple's privacy policy applies to the authentication step.

Who can see your boards

Only members of a board can see that board's items. When someone you invite redeems the link, they become a member. Removing them (or them leaving) revokes access immediately. Database-level row-level-security rules enforce this — no one outside the membership list can read the data.

How long data is kept

Items and boards stay until you delete them. Archived items remain in the archive section until you permanently delete them. If you delete your account, all your owned boards (and their items) are removed; boards you joined as a member are unaffected for the other members, but your membership row is removed.

Your rights

You can:

If you're in the EU/UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data-protection authority.

Children

Family Board is intended for use by families and may be used by people under 16. The app doesn't ask for, and doesn't store, any information identifying a child beyond a display name a parent or the child enters. If you believe data has been stored about a child without parental consent, email me and I'll remove it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes meaningfully, the "Last updated" date at the top will move and a notice will appear in the app on next launch. Material changes won't apply retroactively to data already collected.
